Types of Custody in PA
Physical Custody in PA:
In recent years, Pennsylvania has shifted towards joint physical custody (50/50 custody). The courts recognize the importance of both parents being actively involved in a child’s life. The Court will examine 16 factors to determine the best interests of the child, in determining the child’s living schedule.
Legal Custody in PA:
The right to make major decisions on behalf of the child, including, but not limited to, medical, religious, and educational decisions.
