  • Decide who will be involved – think of and make a list of all family members and any other beneficiaries such as a same-sex partner or close friend that you would like to leave something to.
  • Keep it in a known place – after your will has been drafted and finalized, keep it in a place that is easy to access and tell your friends and family where it is located in case something happens to you and you are not able to access it yourself.
